President and CEO
Jon Wells is the President and CEO of Midmark Corporation, a leader in patient care solutions within the medical, dental and animal health environments.
Wells oversees the strategic growth and development of the organization across its 13 global locations, guiding a team of more than 2,200 dedicated professionals and production staff. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing Midmark as an innovator in healthcare, garnering awards for design and product excellence, and cultivating a reputation for both corporate responsibility and philanthropy.
Wells' career trajectory is defined by a commitment to improving experiences at the point of care. Utilizing his academic foundation in architecture, he has contributed to the research and development of solutions that prioritize the healthcare experience for both patients and caregivers. Wells' knowledge and expertise have been disseminated through industry publications, addressing critical aspects of healthcare delivery such as outpatient clinic processes, the design of medical facilities and the streamlining of sterilization procedures. His approach harmonizes patient engagement with operational effectiveness, leading to enhanced patient outcomes and healthcare cost optimization.
Since commencing his tenure at Midmark in 1990, Wells has served in various critical capacities, including sales, project management, product management and marketing. His journey to the role of President and CEO is marked by his innovative and collaborative leadership style with an adeptness in executing comprehensive strategies for growth.
In addition to his role at Midmark, Wells has made contributions as a board member of various industry-related councils and organizations, including the Health Industry Distributors Association's (HIDA) Educational Foundation and the Healthcare Manufacturers Management Council (HMMC), where he notably served as President. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Dayton Development Coalition. These positions highlight his commitment to community and economic development, reinforcing his leadership and dedication to broader social and economic initiatives.
Wells is an alumnus of The Ohio State University, where he acquired a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, followed by a Master of Business Administration, equipping him with a unique blend of design and business expertise.
Chief People and Administrative Officer
Sue Hulsmeyer is the Chief People and Administrative Officer for Midmark Corporation.
Hulsmeyer began her career as the Human Resources Manager for Masland Industries, which was later acquired by Lear Corporation. She joined Midmark in 2001 as the Human Resources Manager and became Director, Organizational Development and Learning in 2010. She was then promoted to Senior Director, Human Resources and subsequently promoted in 2019 to Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Communications, where she was instrumental in the alignment and development of the organization through communication, professional development, recruitment, total rewards, safety and change management.
In her position as Chief People and Administrative Officer, Hulsmeyer is responsible for attracting, hiring and retaining top talent, succession planning and developing future leaders. She is also responsible for the realization of the Midmark culture, values and teammate experience across the organization and directing all people functions at Midmark in accordance with appropriate policies and programs.
Hulsmeyer serves on the Darke County Community Improvement Council and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees. She also serves as assistant secretary to the Midmark board of directors and is a management representative for the compensation committee.
Hulsmeyer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Bluffton University.
Chief Operations Officer
Rob Sackett is the Chief Operations Officer for Midmark Corporation, the only clinical environmental design company that enables a better care experience at the point of care for the medical, dental and animal health markets.
As a Midmark leader, Sackett oversees day-to-day operations and executes the company’s long-term goals by focusing on its commitment of transforming healthcare experiences through innovative design. He has a wide range of experience overseeing supply chain operations as well as leading efforts to drive efficiency in effective product development and life cycle management.
Before joining Midmark, Sackett was a leader at Edwards Lifesciences where he was senior vice president of worldwide engineering for Edwards Lifesciences Global Supply Chain. Before that, he spent 20 years at Johnson & Johnson in a variety of roles in operations, manufacturing, research, development and supply chain, including business unit manager, plant manager, vice president of manufacturing and vice president of R&D operations.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Akron, Sackett spent nine years serving his country as an engineering officer in the United States Air Force. He is also a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma.
Chief Financial Officer
Jon Dill is the Chief Financial Officer for Midmark Corporation..
As CFO, Dill is responsible for finance and corporate development teams, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, legal, M&A and taxation.
Dill has more than 30 years of experience in finance. In a former role, he served as Operating Executive at Orchard Holdings, an investment firm in Cincinnati, where he advised the management teams of the portfolio companies while optimizing portfolio synergies. He has consulted with or worked for other private equity firms in prior roles.
Before joining Orchard, Dill held executive operating roles at several companies including 3 years at Washing Systems LLC and 15 years at ProAmpac LLC (fka Ampac Packaging LLC), where as CFO, he was a key contributor to its substantial growth and success. At ProAmpac, he was instrumental in the completion and integration of 14 acquisitions, the expansion into Europe and the establishment of operations in Asia. Dill also spent eight years at Chiquita Brands International in a variety of sales, financial and operational positions in Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Panama.
Dill serves in numerous business, community and charitable organizations. The Cincinnati Business Courier awarded him CFO of the Year in 2007.
He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from DePauw University and his Master of Business Administration in finance and international business from the University of Chicago.
Chief Commercial Officer
Matt Bourne is the Chief Commercial Officer for Midmark Corporation, the only clinical environmental design company that enables a better care experience at the point of care for the medical, dental and animal health markets.
As CCO, Bourne oversees the marketing, customer engagement and sales to drive commercial strategy and enable Midmark to achieve long-term objectives.
Bourne joined Midmark in 1997 as a sales representative in medical sales, then went on to serve as region manager. Over the years, he gained an intimate understanding of the business, channel partners and Midmark customers. In 2010, Bourne accepted a position in Midmark Animal Health, leading a newly formed sales team. Soon after, he was promoted to Senior Director of Animal Health where he led a cross-functional group of business leaders.
In 2014, Bourne was promoted to Vice President of Medical Sales and most recently served as Vice President of Global Sales, overseeing all sales teams at Midmark—medical, dental and animal health.
Bourne showcased his leadership and strategic acumen through the modernization of Midmark’s sales organization, including the company’s implementation of a customer relationship management system, enhancement of the customers’ experience and teammate development while acting as the voice of sales in all decisions at the executive level. In addition to executive sponsorship teams Bourne resides on at Midmark, he also serves on the Health Industry and Distribution Association (HIDA) Educational Foundation Board of Directors.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management and a certificate in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer
As Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for Midmark Corporation, Dr. Tom Schwieterman has a profound understanding of the trends and issues driving the healthcare industry through significant change and evolution. His experience as a private practice physician for 12 years in a rural community gives him a unique perspective on problems and opportunities facing physician practices, especially at the point of care.
Since joining Midmark in 2007, “Dr. Tom” helps lead the company’s focus on innovative technology and new approaches that enrich experiences between caregivers and their patients at the point of care. Much of his time is focused on advising the development of clinical solutions, recognizing and understanding market trends, monitoring and providing insight on government regulations, and identifying and quantifying new innovations in the medical, dental and animal health markets. He also targets optimal ways health information technology can improve caregiver efficiency and patient outcomes.
Dr. Tom has been a guest speaker for many conferences, including keynote addresses at the Health Industry Distribution Association Executive Conference, lectures at the National Distribution Corporation and other national healthcare distribution meetings, Wireless Life Sciences Alliance Symposium, World Economic Forum on eHealth, The Ohio State Medical Association Health IT Conference and Future of Healthcare panels.
Dr. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in software engineering from Miami University, Ohio, a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University. He is board certified in family practice.
