ECG printout is missing interpretation 

Description

When an ECG report is printed to paper the automatic interpretation is missing from the printed report.

Solution

Most occurences of a missing ECG automatic interpretation is due to printing from the live ECG acquisition screen.  The print function within the live ECG accquisition screen is intended to only print out tracings with no analytical data much like a standalone ECG machine, it will not display measurements or an interpretation. If the tracing was not printed from the live ECG acquisition screen proceed to Step 1.

Step 1:

Pull up the report in question electronically and verify if it contains an automatic interpretation.

If it is present, reprint the report and the new printout should contain the missing information.

If the automatic interpretation is missing from the electronic report, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2:

Pull up the report in question electronically.

Click on the 'Settings' button.

Under the 'Default Interpretation And Accquisition Display Settings' tab, verify that the 'Disable Interpretation' checkbox is not enabled for all users who perform ECG tests.  Disable this feature if it is on.  Moving forward all ECG reports will contain an automatic interpretation.

NOTE: You may also verify this feature is disabled by clicking on the 'Settings' button located on the live ECG accquistion screen.

If the 'Disable Interpretation' checkbox is not enabled, follow up with the ordering physican to determine if they did not purposely remove the interpretation.
